Miro for Amgen
MIRO QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE
Miro is an online collaborative whiteboard platform. This platform works on a browser, as a desktop app, on a smartphone or tablet, and Surface Hub. The Miro workspace is an infinite canvas used to collaborate, imagine, map, present content, brainstorm, and more. At Amgen we only support use of Miro on a Chrome browser. We often use Miro to collaborate on our own time, thereby reducing time spent in meetings. See Collab Hub in MS Teams.
Key Concepts Your workspace is called a board with an infinite canvas. Add boards to Projects (which are basically folders). Assemble boards with frames for presentations and easy navigation. Dashboard The dashboard is the first screen you see when you login to Miro. From the Dashboard, you can view existing boards and projects, create new boards, and switch between your teams. If you are a team member, team owner, or invited to some boards in a team, all team icons are listed on the left side of the screen. From the dashboard, you can change your profile, star boards, search and more.
The Interface The Miro interface includes all options you see in Building and Using a Board . Each option added from the Content toolbar (except Select) includes a context toolbar to perform actions on each option.
The interface consists of the following information:
• Miro logo bar – In addition to the logo, edit board settings and upload documents.
Guide In the upper right corner, select Guide to view the options in the Learn & Inspire center to learn more about Miro. View demo boards, get help starting with Miro, view webinars, and more.
• Content Creation Toolbar – Appears on the left side of the screen. Includes the tools you need to add text, templates, and other shapes. Additional options provide you with more apps to use. • Facilitation Toolbar – Appears on the bottom left and is used to see all frames in your board, view presentation slides, add voting options, and more. • Whole Board Window – Displays a representation of all objects on the board. It shows their relative position. Open, close, display the board full screen, and more. • Administration Tools – On the top right are the administration options including help, search, collaboration information, and more.
