Step-by-Step

Contour a work assignment.

Switch to the Task Usage view. Scroll as necessary to see that the Architect resource is assigned 80 hours of work for the 3 Develop Blueprints task.

Steps

Practice Data

1. Select the resource assigned to the task you want to contour. The desired resource is selected. 2. Select the field containing the value you want to change. The desired field is selected.

Click the Architect resource below the 3 Develop Blueprints task. Scroll as necessary and click the field in the T column for the current week, which displays 8h for the Architect.

3. Enter the desired value.

Type 4.

The desired value is entered.

4. Press [Enter] .

Press [Enter].

The total work value changes and the edit contour indicator appears to the left of the resource name in the Indicator column. 5. Continue to change the work values as desired. The contour of the work assignment changes accordingly.

Follow the instructions shown below the table to complete this step.

Scroll to the week of Jun 19, ‘16 and change the 8h value in the field in the M column to 4h for the Architect resource.

Notice that the work value changed to 72 hours . Switch to the Gantt Chart view and notice that the duration for the 3 Develop Blueprints task is still two weeks. The architect will work on the task for the entire duration; however, for the days
