Change the duration of the 6 Request Permits task to 2 days and ignore the smart tag indicator Practice the Concept: Open the Options dialog box again and disable Auto Save by deselecting the Save every ____ minutes option. Then, close the dialog box.
S ETTING S CHEDULING O PTIONS

The Schedule page in the Options dialog box contains a variety of options to control how your project is scheduled. On this page, you can indicate if you want to see messages regarding scheduling conflicts and how you want resource assignments displayed. You can also specify if new tasks start on the project start date or on the current date. In addition, you can also set how you want duration and work entered. By default, duration is entered in days and work is entered in hours. The default task type is Fixed Units , however, you can change this to Fixed Duration or Fixed Work as desired. Other available options control project scheduling. You can indicate if new tasks are to be effort-driven and if inserted or moved tasks are to be linked automatically. You can also indicate if you want to allow Microsoft Project to split in-progress tasks to reschedule work. If you disable this option, you will be unable to reschedule the remaining duration and work if a task is not on schedule. In addition, you can
