Lesson 2 – Working with Notebooks

S EARCHING N OTEBOOKS OneNote allows you to search through your notebooks to find information. It searches the page body content, as well as the page titles and section titles. You can set the search scope then quickly go to the page you want from the search results. Optionally, you can open the Search pane to work with all search results.

Use the following procedure to search all notebooks.

1. Place your cursor in the Search box above the Pages pane.

2. Begin typing the word or words for which you want to search. OneNote displays the matches.

3. Select a search result to go to that page in the selected notebook.

Use the following procedure to change the scope of a search.

1. Select the arrow next to the search box. 2. Select the desired scope from the drop down list.
