T ABLE O PTIONS After adding a table, you have options to make your tables more attractive using shading, adding header rows, and sorting the information in the table cells to show the information the way you want.

After adding a table to the page, use the following procedure to make changes to a table.

1. Click in the table to display the Table Tools tab on the ribbon.

2. Use the Table Tools tab, do any of the following: a. Select any cell and use the options in the Select group to select a cell, an entire row, column, or table.

b. From the Delete group, remove an entire table, column, or row.

c. Insert rows above or below a selected row and insert columns to the left or right of a selected column. Click the option you want in the Insert group.

d. In the Format group, show or hide table borders and add shading in different colors to the table.
