Click Editing restrictions

2. Select the Editing restrictions list. A list of restrictions appears.

Click Tracked changes

3. Select the desired restriction. The selected editing restriction

appears in the Editing restrictions list box.

4. Select Yes, Start Enforcing

Protection to turn on document protection with the selected restrictions. The Start Enforcing Protection dialog box opens. 5. To enter a password, type the desired password in the Enter new password (optional) box. An asterisk is entered for each character in the password. 6. Select the Reenter password to confirm box. The insertion point is placed in the Reenter password to confirm box. 7. Type the password again to confirm it. An asterisk is entered for each character in the password. The Start Enforcing Protection dialog box closes. Document protection is enabled and the Restrict Editing task pane describes the current permissions. 8. Select OK .

Practice the Concept: Display page 1 and double-click the word Source in the third line. Type Equipment to replace the selected text. Notice the tracked changes applied to the text. Select the Stop Protection button in the Restrict Editing task pane. Type password then, select OK .
