Excel 2016 Tips and Tricks

Lesson 2 – Working with Tables

Excel 2016

NOTE Dragging the table is a useful method if you only need to move it a few rows or columns. If you need to move the table to another area of the worksheet entirely, it is easier to use the Cut and Paste feature. If you drag a table over existing data in the worksheet, Excel displays the following message: Do you want to replace the contents of the destination cells? Click OK to overwrite the existing data or click Cancel to cancel the table move. If you drag a table to the left or right, you will probably need to adjust column widths to display the data correctly.
