Lesson 9 - Manipulating Form Controls in Design View

Procedures

1. Open the desired form or report in Design view.

2. On the Design tab in the Tools group select Add Existing Fields . 3. In the field list, select the field name you want to add to the form or report. 4. Drag the field name to the desired location on the form or report.

Add a field to a form.

If necessary, open the Customer form in Design view and display the ruler.

On the Design tab in the Tools group select Add Existing Fields . The Field List task pane appears.

In the field list, select the field name you want to add to the form or report. The field name is selected. Drag the field name to the desired location on the form or report. A small box appears as you drag and then the controls for the field appear on the form.

Scroll as necessary and click the Note field in the field list

Drag the Note field to the form beneath the Sales Rep text box

Close the field list. Notice that the bound and unbound controls are added to the form. Click in a blank area of the form to deselect the controls.
