Lesson 4 – Designing Advanced Queries

The Filter By Form feature allows you to create more complex filters by filtering on multiple values and/or by creating filter expressions. In the Filter by Form window, for example, you can create And and Or filters, use wildcards, and filter by ranges.

Procedures

1. Open the desired query in Datasheet view. 2. Select the value by which you want to filter.

3. Select the Filter Selection button

on the Home tab.

4. Select the desired filter options.

Open the Store Shipping Dates 2 query in Datasheet view.

1. Select the value by which you want to filter. The insertion point appears in the corresponding field. 2. Click the Filter Selection button in the Sort & Filter group on the Home tab. The filter options menu is displayed. 3. Select the desired filter options. The selected filter is applied to the datasheet .

Click in any field containing the text Athletic Supplies Co.

Click

Click Equals “Athletic Supplies Co.”

Remove the filter by clicking the Toggle Filter button on the Home tab.

Close Datasheet view without saving the changes. Close ADVQUE1.ACCDB .
