Lesson 12 - Using Switchboards

A switchboard

NOTE The Switchboard Manager icon is only visible in the ribbon when using an older database. To use the Switchboard Manager you need to add it to the Quick Access Toolbar. For example, if you open a 2002-2003 database in Access 2010, then the Switchboard Manager icon will be visible. If you use a 2007 database in Access 2010 then the icon will not be visible on the Ribbon. If you create a switchboard with the Switchboard Manager and then make changes in the Form Design window, the switchboard may not work. If you think that you may have to make extensive changes to a switchboard, you should create the switchboard using a blank form.



Procedures

1. Open the desired database. 2. Display the Forms object list. 3. Double-click the switchboard form to open. 4. Select an option on the switchboard.


