1. Select the Message tab. The Edit menu appears.

Click Message

2. Select the Clipboard command in the Clipboard group. The Clipboard task pane opens, and a Clipboard icon appears in the Windows system tray. 3. To clear all the items on the Office Clipboard, click the Clear All button in the Clipboard task pane. All items are cleared from the Clipboard task pane. 4. Open the message or file containing the item you want to cut or copy, if necessary. The message or file opens. 5. Select the item you want to cut or copy. The item is selected.

Click Clear All , if necessary

Open Microsoft Word, and open the file: Showcase in the student data folder. Select the Worldwide Sporting Goods Summer Equipment Showcase heading

6. Cut or copy the selected item.

The selected text, or a copy of the selected text is placed on the Clipboard.

7. Continue cutting or copying items as desired. The items are added to the Clipboard task pane. The Clipboard task pane displays an icon and a brief description of each item that is cut or copied.

Scroll to the bottom of page 1. Select the Morning, Midday, and Evening paragraphs and copy the selection. Then copy the Directions heading on page 2 along with the all the steps below it. Close Microsoft Word.

8. Position the insertion point in the Message window where you want to insert an item. The insertion point appears in the new location in the Message window.

Press [Enter]
