Lesson 5 – Using Outlook Messaging Features

The Voting and Tracking options on the Options ribbon are used to notify you that the message has been delivered and read. In addition, you can choose an option to include voting options in the message. This feature adds a drop-down list of choices that the recipient can use to respond to a question or issue. You can select from the preset choices, or type in your own custom choices.

Use Voting Buttons

You can use the Delivery options to have replies to the message delivered to recipients other than yourself, as well as save the message to a specific location after it has been sent. You can also specify a date on which you want to send the message, as well as a date after which the message is no longer available.

Delivery Options

The Categories button at the bottom of the Properties box which comes from the launcher buttom in the Tracking grpup,allows you to categorize the message. If you organize messages into categories, you can later group and sort them by category.
