F ORMATTING M ULTI - LINE L AYOUTS  D ISCUSSION

Messages and other items appear in a multi-line layout when the Reading Pane appears on the right side of the folder pane. The multi-line layout is set to display two lines, but you can use the Fields dialog box to reset the maximum number of lines to display between 2 to 20 lines.

Additional controls for multi-line layouts are contained in the Other Settings dialog box. Items automatically appear in a multi-line layout when the width of a pane is less than 100 characters, but you can increase or decrease this setting. Choose to ignore the pane width and always display a single-line or multi-line layout. Hide the Quick Flag column to provide more area for viewing message information.
