Attach a digital certificate

NOTE Apply for a third-party digital certificate by opening the Trust Center dialog box to the E-mail Security pane and selecting the Get a Digital ID button. Digital certificates are not free, but some authorizers allow you to sign up for a free trial period. Messages sent with a digital certificate attached display an icon with a red ribbon in the message header. Clicking the ribbon icon opens the Digital Signature dialog box with information about the sender and the validity of the certificate.



P ROCEDURES

1. Open a new email message.

2. Select the Options tab

on the Ribbon .

3. Select the More Options launcher arrow .
