Step-by-Step

Specify leveling timeframes.

Switch to the Resource Sheet view. Notice that both the 16 Backhoe Operator and 20 Backhoe resources appear in red, indicating that they are overallocated. Switch to the Gantt Chart view and scroll to view the week of Aug 6,  18 . Notice that both resources are assigned to two tasks ( 13 Dig Foundation and 14 Smooth Foundation ) that overlap.

1. Select the Resource tab.

The Resource ribbon appears.

2. Select the Leveling Options button. The Resource Leveling dialog box opens. 3. Select the Look for overallocations on a < timeframe > basis list. A list of timeframe options appears.

4. Select the desired time period.

Click Month by Month.

The desired timeframe appears in the Look for overallocations on a basis box.

5. Select the desired option under Leveling range for < file name > . The desired option is selected.

Click Level.

6. Select the From list. A calendar appears.

Click From .

Change the date to August, 7, 2018.

7. Select a date.

The date appears in the From box.

8. Select the To list.

Click To .

A calendar appears.
