a) In the Quick Launch area, select Project Orange Home. b) In the Orange Tasks list, select the New Employee Orientation document name. c) In the preceding step, you need to select the document name, not check the check box to see the BROWSE and VIEW tabs. d) On the ribbon VIEW tab, in the Actions group, select Alert Me. e) In the New Alert page, verify the Alert Title.

NOTE

The Alert Title should be Orange Tasks: New Employee Orientation.

f) In the Delivery Method section, verify that Send me alerts by is set to E-Mail.

NOTE

Observe that you can also send notifications by text message.

g) In the Send Alerts for These Changes section, under Send me an alert when, verify that Anything changes is selected.

NOTE

You can also generate alerts when someone else changes an item, someone else changes and item created by you, someone else changes an item last modified by you, and someone changes an item that appears on the following view.

h) In the When to send alerts section, verify that Send notification immediately is selected. i) Select OK to save the alert.

3) Edit your New Employee Orientation task. a) In the Orange Tasks list, next to New Employee Orientation, select the Open Menu button. b) In the item window, select Add to Timeline. c) Observe the timeline view in the page.
