ACTIVITY: C REATING A S HARE P OINT S ITE BY C OPYING A S ITE

Before You Begin You should be logged into your team site, and have the Team Site Home page open. Scenario Now that you have created a site from template, you would like to try copying a site in case you have to create more sites later. In this activity, you will save your site as a site template and create a site based off of that template. 1) Save your site as a template. a) In SharePoint, on the Team Site Home page, in the header, select Settings and then select Site settings.

b) Under Site Actions, select Save site as template. c) On the Site Settings > Save as Template page, in the File Name section, in the File name box, type Team Site Template

NOTE

You are making the file name and the name the same because the file name is what is listed in the custom template box when you create new sites.
