ACTIVITY: C ONFIGURE A DVANCED AND R ATING S ETTINGS

Before You Begin You should be logged into your Human Resources site. Scenario

You want to prevent users from being able to create folders in the Resumes library. You also want to files in the Resumes library open in Word instead of Word Online and don’t show up as search results. You also need to have reviewers rate the resumes. In this activity, you will configure Advance and Rating settings for the Resumes document library on your site.

1) Test the Resume library settings.

a) In the Quick Launch, click Resumes . b) Click the New button and select the New Folder option. c) In the Name field, type Finance Department . d) Click Create . e) Observe the new folder. f) Right-click the Open Menu (…) next to the Finance Department, select Delete and click OK . g) Click the Resume 1 document in the Resumes library. h) Observe the document opens in Word Online. a) In the Quick Launch, click Resumes . b) Click the Library tab and click the Library Settings button. c) Under General Settings , click Advanced Settings . d) Under Opening Documents in the Browser , select Open in the client application . e) Under Folders , select No . f) Under Search , select No . g) Click OK . a) In the Quick Launch, click Resumes . b) Click the Library tab and click the Library Settings button. c) Under General Settings, click Rating Settings . d) Under Rating Settings , select Yes . e) Under Which voting/rating experience you would like to enable for this list? , ensure Star Rating is selected. f) Click OK .

4) Test the Resume library settings. i)

In the Quick Launch, click Resumes .

j) Click the New button. k) Observe the New Folder option is no longer available. l) Click the Resume 1 document in the Resumes library. m) Observe the document opens in Word instead of Word Online.
