4. The electrician needs help to complete the 10 Install Light Fixtures task on time. Add the Laborer (200%) to the task. Use the smart tag to increase the total work and keep the duration the same ( 1 day ). 5. Assign the Electrician ( 100% ) to the 19 Install Computers task to shorten the duration. Notice that the default smart tag action is to reduce the duration from 5 days to 3.33 days with the same required work. Accept the default smart tag action. 6. The electrician realizes that he does not need the laborer to install the light fixtures. Remove the Laborer from the 10 Install Light Fixtures task. Use the smart tag to decrease the total work and keep the duration the constant. 7. There are not enough resources to finish the 17 Install Network Cable task on time. Graph the availability of the Computer Technician and Laborer resources for that task. 8. Display the Assignment Work graph. Notice that the selected task takes place on Monday and the selected resources are not working on other tasks. Display the Remaining Availability graph. The table indicates that the Laborer has 16 hours free. Assign the Laborer at 100% . Use the smart tag to increase the total work and keep the duration the same. 9. Select the 11 Install Curtains task and filter the resources to display work resources available to work 8 hours. Assign the Laborer at 100% . Remove all filtering and collapse the filtering options. Close the Assign Resources dialog box.

10. Split the window in the Gantt Chart view to display the Task Details Form view in the bottom pane.

Use the Task Details Form view to change the 3 Get Permits task to a Fixed Duration type and assign the Architect to the task. Notice that the duration of 1 estimated day remains the same and each resource is assigned at 50% units.

11. Remove the split.
