Step-by-Step
Assign a base calendar to a task.
If necessary, switch to the Gantt Chart view.
Scroll as necessary to view the task bar for the 39 Landscaping task. Point to the bar to see that the task begins on a Wednesday and ends on a Tuesday with a duration of one week.

1. Double-click the task to which you want to assign a calendar. The Task Information dialog box opens.
Double-click the 39 Landscaping task
2. Select the Advanced tab.

The Advanced page appears.
3. Select the Calendar list.
Click Calendar
.
A list of available base calendars appears.
4. Select the desired calendar. The calendar is selected.
Click Landscaping.
5. Select Scheduling ignores resource calendar. The selection is made to ignore the resource calendar.
Select the
Scheduling
ignores resource calendar.
6. Select OK .
Click
.
The Task Information dialog box closes and the calendar is assigned to the desired task.
Switch to the Task Usage view. Scroll to the 39 Landscaping task again and note Saturday November 19 is a working day.
