C REATING A H YPERLINK TO A V IEW
Discussion
In addition to jumping to another file or web page, you can use a hyperlink to display another view within the same project file. For example, you can hyperlink a task on the Gantt Chart view to a specific resource on the Resource Usage view. Therefore, hyperlinks can provide shortcuts to quickly display the information you need.
Creating a hyperlink to a view
NOTE You can right-click a hyperlink and use the Hyperlink submenu to edit, copy, and delete a hyperlink, or open the hyperlinked object in a new window.
Procedures
1. Select the task or resource to which you want to attach the hyperlink.
2. Right click the
button in the Indicators column.
3. Select Hyperlink\Edit Hyperlink . 4. Under Link to , select Place in This Document . 5. Expand the views under Select a view in this project , if necessary. 6. Select the view you want to appear when the link is clicked. 7. Select the Enter the task or resource ID box, if desired.
