Lesson 5 – Adding Objects to your Notebook
D RAW , S KETCH , OR H ANDWRITE N OTES OneNote 2016 provides you with the ability to draw or write notes using your finger, a stylus, or your mouse. If you use your finger or a stylus, your device must be touch-capable. If you write on the screen, OneNote changes your handwriting to text.
Use the following procedure to draw on a regular computer that is not touch-capable.
1. In OneNote 2016, select the Draw tab. 2. Click a pen or highlighter on the Ribbon. 3. Use your mouse to draw on the page. 4. When finished, do one of the following: a. Press Esc on your keyboard. b. On the Draw tab, select Type in the Tools group. 1. Select or touch the Draw tab. 2. Select or touch a pen or highlighter. 3. Use your finger or a stylus to draw or write on the page. 4. When finished, do one of the following: a. Press Esc on your keyboard. b. On the Draw tab, select Type in the Tools group.
Use the following procedure to draw on a touch-capable device or computer.
Use the following procedure to draw a shape.
1. Select or touch the Draw tab. 2. Select an item in the Shapes gallery. 3. Drag your mouse, finger, or stylus across the page to draw the shape.
4. While the shape is selected do one of the following: a. Resize the shape by touching a handle and drag to resize. b. Move the shape to a different location.
