U SE THE N AVIGATION PANE TO S EARCH A D OCUMENT  D ISCUSSION The Navigation pane in Word includes enhanced options for searching and browsing within a document. Open the Navigation pane by selecting the View tab and checking the Navigation pane check box in the Show group. You can also click Find on the home tab and it will display the Navigation pane on the left-side of your screen. The Navigation pane appears on the left of your screen, you can drag it to another position. When conducting a search for text in the Navigation pane you type a word in the Search Document Text Box . The search results appear in the Navigation pane with each occurrence of the search term in the document highlighted in yellow. The Navigation pane shows links to the part of the document where the search words are referenced. Use the Next and Previous arrows to browse by search result or click an entry in the Navigation pane to move to the location in the document where the search term appears.

Also use the Navigation pane to browse by document headings, pages, or objects. Use the Next and Previous arrows to take you to the next or previous item.
