U SING F IND AND R EPLACE

T ASK Use the Navigation pane to Find, Browse and Replace items in a document.

1. Open FINDEX.DOCX . 2. Open the Navigation pane. 3. Find the word Preview .

4. Use the Search Result arrows to browse through your search results. 5. Replace all occurrences of the word preview with the word showcase . 6. Replace all occurrences of the word free with the word complimentary . Be careful to replace whole words only. 7. Find all occurrences of the Italic font format and replace it with the Bold Italic font format. ( Hint: To find all occurrences of a format regardless of text, delete all text in the Find what and Replace with boxes and deselect any selected options. ) 8. Find a section break. ( Hint: A section break is a special character. Remember to first remove all formatting. ) Then, close the Find and Replace dialog box.

9. Switch to Draft view to see the section break. 10. Reset the Previous Page and Next Page buttons. 11. Close the document without saving it.
