D ELETING A M ACRO B UTTON  D ISCUSSION You can delete any macro button you no longer need. Deleting unused macro buttons protects you from accidentally running a macro that is outdated or no longer works correctly. When you delete a macro button, only the button is deleted; the macro remains available and can be viewed and edited in the Visual Basic Editor or run from the Macros button in the View or Developer tab.  P ROCEDURES 1. Hold [Ctrl] and click the macro button you want to delete. 2. Release the [Ctrl] key. 3. Press [Delete] .

1. Hold [Ctrl] and click the macro button you want to delete. The mouse pointer changes into an arrow with a plus sign and the macro button is selected.

Hold [Ctrl] and click the Open Chicago button

2. Release the [Ctrl] key.

Release the [Ctrl] key

The mouse pointer returns to its normal shape.

3. Press [Delete] .

Press [Delete]

The macro button is deleted.
