To turn this prompt off, select the File tab, select Options , select Advanced – then, in the Slide Show category, uncheck ‘End with black slide’ checkbox, and click OK .

N AVIGATING A S LIDE S HOW  D ISCUSSION

PowerPoint 2016 (and 2013) include some new and improved tools for navigating and working with slide shows. The Slide Show toolbar is in the lower left corner in Slide Show view. You may need to move your mouse pointer for the toolbar to appear, as it is semi-transparent and unobtrusive. The toolbar contains six buttons – Previous , Next , Pen , Show All Slides , Zoom and Menu .

The Shortcut menu , activated by a right-click in slide show view provides access to most of the navigation. All the screen and pointer options are available in the table at the end of this section.

The Pointer Options menu is displayed on the shortcut menu or when you select the Pen button on the Slide Show toolbar. You can use this menu to control pointer and pen options. The Menu button contains Last viewed, the Arrow Options submenu, and other useful tools.
