4. Click the Create Handouts Button. The Send To Microsoft Office Word dialog box opens. 5. Under Page layout in Microsoft Office Word , select the desired page layout. The page layout option is selected. 6. Select the Paste link option, if desired. The Paste link option is selected.

7. Select the OK button.

The Send To Microsoft Office Word dialog box closes, and the notes or handouts appear in a Word document.

Scroll the Word document to view the layout of the pages. Then, double-click on slide 1. Notice that the slide opens in PowerPoint. Then, switch back to the Word window and close the Microsoft Word document. Select No when you are prompted to save the document. E XPORTING AN O UTLINE TO W ORD  D ISCUSSION PowerPoint allows you to export a presentation outline to Word. You can then edit the outline using Word editing tools.

You can import the outline back into PowerPoint from Word, however, most design aspects will be lost and must be reapplied.
