Lesson 5 – Exporting Outlines and Slides

1. Select the File tab.

The File menu opens.

2. Point to Send & Save ..

The Send & Save options opens.

3. Select Create Handouts

Click

4. Click the Create Handouts Button. The Send To Microsoft Office Word dialog box opens. 5. Under Page layout in Microsoft Office Word , select the Outline only option. The Outline only option is selected.

6. Select the OK button.

Click

The Send To Microsoft Office Word dialog box closes, and the presentation outline appears in Word.

Close the Word document. Select No when you are prompted to save the document.

S AVING A P RESENTATION AS AN O UTLINE  D ISCUSSION In addition to exporting the presentation outline to Word, you can save a presentation outline in rich text format ( .rtf ). You can then edit and format the outline in Word as desired.

If your presentation includes hyperlinks, they are saved with the outline. Graphic images, however, are not saved.
