2. Select the drop-down on the right side of the attachment icon. A menu with choices for the attachment will appear.

3. Select Save As .

Click Save As

The Save As dialog box opens with the text in the File name box selected.

4. Type the desired file name.

Type Awards.docx

The file name appears in the File name box.

5. Select the drive where you want to save the folder. A list of available folders appears. 6. Open the folder where you want to save the file. The desired folder is selected.

Click the student data drive

Double-click to open the student data folder

7. Select Save .

Click Save

The Save As dialog box closes, and the file attachment is saved in the selected folder.

Discussion

When you receive a message with an attachment, you can save the attachment for later viewing and editing or open it in its parent application.

When you open an attachment containing a Microsoft Office document, the document opens in the source application in Protected View . This view is designed to protect your computer from potentially harmful files or viruses.
