4. To view the file sizes , select the View Mailbox Size button. The Folder Size dialog box opens.

6. Select the desired cleanup action. Outlook performs the selected action.

The archiving status message appears in the right corner of the status bar and the old items in the Tasks folder and other folders are removed. An Archive Folders group appears in the Folder List when Outlook finishes archiving.
Expand the Archive Folders group, select the Tasks folder and notice that it contains the old items. Close the Archive Folders group by right-clicking Archive Folders in the Folder List and selecting the Close “Archive Folders” command.
A RCHIVING A F OLDER D ISCUSSION
Since AutoArchive, which automatically archives items, is not activated for all folders by default, you can manually archive items in Outlook folders. In addition, if a folder is cluttered with old items, you can archive that folder immediately rather than waiting for AutoArchive to store it.
In the Archive dialog box, you can archive folders based on the AutoArchive settings, or you can bypass the AutoArchive settings and archive the contents of any folder.
