NOTE If you drag a meeting or task request from your Inbox folder to the Calendar or Tasks folder, an acceptance message is automatically sent to the sender.
P ROCEDURES 1. Open the folder containing the item from which you want to create a new item. 2. Drag the item from the view area to the desired folder on the Navigation Pane or Folder List.
S TEP - BY -S TEP Use AutoCreate to create an Outlook item from an existing item.
Open the Tasks pane. In the Click here to add a new Task row, type Call for dentist appointment and press [Enter].

1. Drag the item from the view area to the desired folder in the Navigation Pane or Folder List. A new item is created and the item window opens. 2. In the first Start Time field, select the date. The start date appears in the field. 3. In the time field, select the time of day. The time appears in the field. 4. Select the first End Time field, select the date. The end date appears in the field.
