T RACKING Y OUR P ROGRESS

Task

Track your progress.

1. Open Rooms12 . 2. Enter a status date of 7/9/18 . 3. Display the Task ribbon. 4. Mark the 1 Create Plan task 100% complete. 5. Apply the Tracking table to the Gantt Chart view and display all the fields in the table. 6. Enter an actual finish date for the 2 Plan Approval task of 7/2/18 . 7. Update the 3 Obtain Permits task as on track . 8. Update the work for the whole project through 7/9/18 . Select OK if a Planning Wizard dialog box opens. 9. View slippage to see which tasks have slipped. 10. Switch back to the Gantt Chart view. 11. Update the 17 Electrical Adjust - Computer Room to percent complete to 70% . 12. Enter 8 hours of actual work for the 7 Paint Trim, 16 hours for 8 Paint Walls, 8 hours for 9 Paint Doors tasks. Enter 12 hours of actual work for the 11 Install Light Fixtures task. 13. Use the Progress Lines to check the progress of your project. Notice the tasks that are on schedule and late. Display at the project status date and select Baseline Plan . 14. Switch to the Gantt Chart view and apply the Tracking table, if necessary. Change the status date to 7/9/18 . 15. Mark the task 7-11 task 100% complete. 16. Switch to the Task Usage view and apply the Work Table. Enter 6 hours of actual work on 7/9/16 for the Computer Technician resource assigned to the 18 Install Network Cable ( Hint: Remember to add the Act. Work field to the timephased view.) Use the Update Tasks dialog box to enter a remaining duration of 0 days and select Yes to assign the resources. 17. Switch to the Gantt Chart view. Mark the 19 Paint Computer Room task 100% complete. Mark the 20 Lay Carpet in Computer Room task as 50% complete.
