5) Break inheritance and restrict permissions for the Teams Members group. a) In order to ensure that you control permissions to this library, you need to break permissions inheritance from the parent site. On the PERMISSIONS tab, in the Inheritance group, select Stop Inheriting Permissions.

b) A Message from webpage dialog box appears warning you that you are about to create unique permissions for this Document library, select OK. c) Observe the new permissions for the library.

NOTE Notice the warning across the top of the Permission page about unique permissions. When inheritance is broken, the existing permissions are copied, so that no rights are lost. Permissions assigned at the parent, however, can no longer affect this library.

d) Check the box farthest to the left from Teams Members to select the group. e) On the PERMISSIONS tab, in the Modify group, select Edit User Permissions. f) The Permissions → Edit Permissions page appears.

g) Under Users, observe the group name to verify that the Teams Members group that will be affected by this change in rights. h) In the Permissions section, uncheck the check box next to Edit, and check the check box next to Read. i) Observe the other permissions available in the Permissions section, then select OK to return to the Permissions page. j) On the Permissions page, verify the Permission Level for Teams Members is Read.
