ACTIVITY: A DDING AND C ONFIGURING A W IKI P AGE L IBRARY
Before You Begin You should be logged into your Human Resources site. Scenario
You want to add a Wiki Page library so that your team can have open collect documentation on a wide range of professional topics. In this activity, you will add and configure a Wiki Page library.
1) Create a Wiki Page library. a) In SharePoint, select Site contents from the Quick Launch. b) Under List, Libraries and other Apps , select add an app .
c) Select the Wiki Page Library tile. d) In the Name field, type hrwikis . e) Click Create . f) In the Quick Launch, under Recent, click hrwikis . g) Observe the Wiki Library homepage .
2) Rename the Library. a) Click the Page tab and click the Library Settings button. b) Under General Settings, click List name, description and navigation . c) Clear out the Name field and type HR Wikis . d) In the Display this document library on the Quick Launch? field, select Yes . e) In the Quick Launch, click HR Wikis . 3) Edit the homepage of the Wiki Page library. a) On the Home page, on the right side of the ribbon, select EDIT . b) Delete all the default text, and then type Welcome to the HR Wikis! and then press Enter . c) Below, type The goal of these wikis is to have a central collection of our employee's knowledge on various HR topics. Please feel free to contribute by adding or revising its content . d) Highlight the Welcome to the HR Wikis! text, and apply the Title style from the FORMAT TEXT tab Style group. e) Highlight the Please feel free to contribute by adding or revising its content . text, and under the FORMAT TEXT tab, select Bold and then in the Font Size drop-down list, type 14 . f) Select FORMAT TEXT -'Edit- 'Save . 4) Add a page to the Wiki Page library. a) Click the Page tab, select View all Pages . b) Click New and type Policies . c) Click Create . d) On the new page, click the Format Text tab, click Text Layout and select Two columns with header .
