Turn on Board The Smart kapp IQ board usually starts from Standby mode if it is not powered off. In Standby mode, the board does the following: • Detects people up to 16-feet away in Standby mode. • After detecting people in the room, it activates and displays the Welcome screen. • If the board does not detect anyone in the room after a while, it enters Standby mode. • If the detection sensor is disabled, people can enter and exit the room as desired.

Using SMART kapp Apps

Press Launcher

. The Launcher screen appears.

2. Press the icon for the app you want to launch.

Input

Input is used to display the content from your computer on the board. 1. Press Input . The board looks for a connection. 2. Computer content appears on the board. Screen Share Share screen content wirelessly from your Windows computer using Google Chrome and the Google Cast extension. Make sure the Google browser and Google Cast extension are installed on your computer.

Exit Standby Mode Manually

To start the board, do one of the following:

Press Screen Share .

Enter Standby Mode Manually

Open Google.

4. In the browser’s top right corner, click the Cast

icon.

Press on the board front twice.

5. From the Cast to drop-down list, select Cast desktop . 6. Select the board name. 7. In the Share your screen dialog box, click Entire screen . The Cast icon turns blue when you are sharing. Complete the following directions to stop sharing content. 1. Tap the board. The overlay appears. 2. In the top right corner, press . 3. Click Yes to confirm.

Connect to Smart Kapp IQ Board

There are two options for connections to the board. • Connect to the AM30 appliance.

Whiteboard

Connect directly to the board.

Press the Whiteboard

icon.

2. Do the following to do use the whiteboard.

o Use the pens to write on the board in red or black. o Use the eraser end on the pens to remove content. o Erase the whiteboard using your palm or fist. o Press the Erase All icon to erase all content. Press Yes to save or No to discard. o Pan the Whiteboard using your finger.

Connect to AM30 Appliance or Directly to the Board

1. Use a USB cable and an HDMI cable to connect a computer to the AM30 appliance. 2. Download and install the SMART Product drivers on the computer. 3. Download and install SMART Ink on the computer. 4. Use the Input app to switch to the computer. See https://support.smarttech.com/downloads to download the software. NOTE: When using the AM30 appliance, the input source is OPS/HDMI. NOTE: Computers connected to the board are controlled by the front control panel.

Library

The Library contains all saved whiteboard sessions.

Press the Browser on your computer.

Clean Up Press the Clean Up button to erase the Whiteboard , save the Whiteboard session to the Library (if Library is enabled), resets the browser, close all applications.

Snapshots

Save snapshots of notes and diagrams on the board or your device. On the board and in the app, press . After taking a snapshot, view, export (JPG or PDF), or delete snapshots. On an Apple device, change the snapshot order. The Sessions button displays the number of snapshots in the current session. View snapshots from the current session or from previous sessions on your device. View Snapshots from Current Session 1. On your Android or Apple device, click the Sessions button. The Sessions screen appears. 2. Tap the thumbnails you want to view. View Snapshots from Previous Session 1. Disconnect the current session, if necessary. 2. On your Android or Apple device, click Sessions . The Sessions screen appears. 3. Select the session with the snapshots you want to view. 4. Tap the thumbnails you want to view. View Snapshots

Install the App on Your Device

Install the app on your Android or Apple device. 1. Select one of the following options:

Scan the QR code on the board.

o Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. 2. Install the app on your device.

Use the SMART kapp IQ App

Tap the app icon. The app tutorial starts the first time you use it. Do the following:

Swipe left to advance to the next page.

o

o Swipe right to go back to the previous page.

Tap close to end.

Connect Your Device to the Board

Delete Snapshot

1. On your device, tap the app icon to start. 2. Hold the device camera over the board’s QR code. The app automatically connects your device to the board. NOTE: Some Android devices request a pairing. Swipe down to the Notification drawer and accept the request. TIP: If your phone doesn’t connect to the board, adjust the phone’s distance to the QR code.

1. Disconnect the current session, if necessary. 2. On your Android or Apple device, click Sessions. The Sessions screen appears. 3. Select the appropriate session. The session snapshots appear. 4. Tap the snapshot you want to delete. 5. Tap then tap Delete to confirm.

View the snapshot to export. Do one of the following:

On your device, tap Drawing Mod e

o Apple: Tap Export and select Save to Camera Roll or Share as PDF. o Android: Tam Menu and select Share as Image or Share as PDF . 3. If you select Share as Image or Share as PDF , select the app you use to share the snapshot then share.

2. Tap the buttons on the screen bottom then use your finger to draw, write, erase, and zoom in or out.

Delete a Session

Tap Done when finished.

Deleting a session is different on an Android and an Apple device. Android 1. Disconnect the current session, if necessary. 2. Tap Sessions . The Sessions screen appears. 3. Tap Menu to display a meu. 4. Tap Select . A list of sessions appears. 5. Select the session you want to delete. 6. Tap then tap Delete to confirm.

Pan and Zoom

On your device, zoom in, zoom out, or pan to view different parts of the display.

Zoom Out – Use two fingers, move your fingers away from one another.

Zoom In – Use two fingers, move your fingers together.

Pan – With one finger, move the image around the screen.

Apple 1.

Share a Session Invite up to 35 people to view your notes on their mobile device or desktop. When other people accept your invitation, they can view your notes in a browser window without installing additional software. To view a live session, people can install the SMART kapp IQ app to connect to your session live.

Disconnect the current session, if necessary. 2. Tap Sessions . The Sessions screen appears. 3. Select Edit . Icons appear beside the session. 4. Tap beside each session you want to remove then tap Delete to confirm. 5. Tap Done when finished,
