Safety The Touch Unit uses a high-powered laser projected through the laser diffusion ports on the back, so safety precautions are a necessity. • Never take apart the Touch Unit or the project. Severe electrical injuries are possible. • Do not look in the laser diffusion ports to avoid eye damage. • Do not let laser light reflect or pass through optical devices like a mirror or a magnifying glass. Doing so can cause injury or a fire. • Unplug the projector if there are problems with the Touch Unit. • Only use qualified service people if problems occur with the Touch Unit. 1. On the remote control, press Menu . 2. Select the Extended menu. 3. Press Enter . 4. Select Easy Interactive Function . 5. Press Enter . 6. Select Touch Unit Setup. 7. Press Enter. 8. Select Touch Calibration 9. Press Enter. The Touch Calibration screen appears. 10. Adjust the focus, if necessary. 11. Select Yes . 12. Press Enter . A flashing green circle appears in the projection’s upper left corner. 13. With your finger, touch and hold the circle center until the circle disappears, and another circle appears. 14. Release your finger from the surface. 15. Touch the second circle center and repeat until all circles disappear. • Be sure to touch the circles center. • If the cursor and your finger position are offset, repeat the calibration steps. • If you make a mistake, press Esc on the remote to go back to the previous circle. Hold Esc for two seconds to restart calibration. Calibrate for Finger Touch NOTE:

• Drag item – Tap the item and drag across the surface. • Scroll – Drag your finger on the surface.

Other Operations

If supported by your operating system, you can do the following.

• Zoom in – Use two fingers and move them apart. • Zoom out – Use two fingers and move them together. • Rotate image – Touch the image with the fingers on one hand and rotate your hand. • Drag up or down – Swipe or flick. • Go back or forward in browser – Swipe or flick.

Finger Touch Issues

Finger touch might not work in the following situations.

• If you have long or artificial nails. • Bandaged fingers.

• Fingers are too close or crossed. • Free hand touches the screen. • Sleeve touches the screen. • Operating systems might not support some of the gestures.

Connect Additional Devices

In addition to connecting a computer using HDMI or VGA cables, you can attach additional devices.

Connect to Computer for Sound

1. Connect an audio cable to the computer headphone or audio out jack or connect to a desktop speaker audio-out port. 2. Connect the other end of the cable to the corresponding port on the projector.

Connect to HDMI Video Source

1. Connect the HDMI cable to the source’s HDMI output port. 2. Connect the other end of the cable to an HDMI port on the projector.

Finger Touch Annotation

Connect to MHL-Compatible Device

Use your finger like a pen in Annotation mode or Whiteboard mode.

If you have an MHL-compatible smartphone or tablet use an MHL cable or HDMI cable with an MHL adapter. 1. Connect the MHL cable or adapter to the device’s micro-USB port. 2. If you are using an adapter, connection it to the HDMI cable. 3. Connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI 1 or MHL port.

• Select a project item – Tap the icon with the pen tip. • Draw – Tap the surface and drag as needed.

Use your finger like a mouse in PC Interactive mode.

• Left-click – Tap the surface with your finger. • Double-click – Tap the surface twice. • Right-click – Press the side button or press and hold the pen on the surface.
