8. Select Close to close the Assign Resources dialog box.

Step-by-Step

Add more resources to a task.

Scroll as necessary, select the 4 Draft Proposal task, and notice that the duration is estimated to be 3 days. Switch to the Task Usage view to see that the Contracting Specialist is assigned 24 hours of work on the task. You want to reduce the duration of the task by adding another resource. Return to the Gantt Chart view.

1. Select the task to which you want to add another work resource. The task is selected. 2. Click the Assign Resources button on the Resource tab. The Assign Resources dialog box opens. 3. In the Assign Resources dialog box, select the work resource you want to assign to the selected task. The resource is selected and the name appears above the Resource Name row. The resource is assigned to the task and a smart tag appears in the task’s Indicators column for the selected task. 5. Close the Assign Resources Dialog Box The box closes and a smart tag appears next to the resource. 4. Select Assign .

Click the 4 Draft Proposal task in the task list, if necessary.

6. Click the smart tag to view the rescheduling options.
