8. Select the role you want to grant the user. The selected role appears in the Permission Level column and the permissions change according to the role selected.

The Properties dialog box closes and the designated permissions are granted to the user, or the designated permissions are granted to the user and the Properties dialog box remains open.

Access other Outlook users’ folders if you are granted the appropriate permissions. Your ability to manipulate and control data in a folder belonging to another user, however, varies depending on the folder and the level of permission granted.

Outlook folders reside both locally and on the Exchange server. Therefore, when you access a folder belonging to another user, you are opening it from the Exchange server.
