When you create an Outlook item, you are using a form. You can create additional custom forms to use instead of using a standard Outlook form. For example, create a message form for a weekly sales meeting that is pre-addressed to the recipients and contains custom fields.
Once a new form is created, you must open it to use it. How you open a form depends upon where it is stored. Forms can be stored in the Standard Forms Library , Personal Forms Library , Outlook Folders , or in other locations. Forms stored in any folder can be opened using the Choose Form dialog box. However, if you store a form in one of the Outlook folders, such as the Inbox , the form will appear on the Actions menu when you open that folder.
NOTE You must create a custom form before you can associate it with a folder. Custom forms are often used in conjunction with public folders in order to tailor the information in the public folder to the requirements of the folder and its audience.
