invoice or billing list might calculate a bill based on hours entered in one column and billable rates from a column in a different list.
In a calculated column, you must select other columns that you will be performing the calculation on. In the following example, the formula states that for each item in the list, the value of the calculated column will equal the contents of the Test Hours column multiplied by the contents of the Test Passes column multiplied by 55 (which represents the billable rate of $55 per hour).

N EW C OLUMN C ONFIGURATION S ETTINGS When creating a new column, you can configure the following settings to define the type of content the column will contain, behaviors associated with the column, and other options.
